Our Story

Fernweh Foundations was created to close the gap between the complexity of admin work and the training available to support it. Our courses, resources, and community are shaped by real administrative experience and ongoing feedback from admins around the world. Everything we create is designed to be practical, role-specific, and immediately useful to help admins understand their impact, strengthen their skills, and operate with confidence.

Hello, I'm Shelby Fernweh.

I’ve spent 16+ years in administrative and operations roles across multiple industries, three countries, and organizations ranging from 4-person teams to 15,000+ employees.

Across every environment, the work was high-stakes, fast-moving, and rarely linear. Admins were trusted with critical decisions, yet expected to figure out how to do the job in real time, without training that reflected the reality of the role.

Fernweh Foundations exists to change that.

Most admin training teaches tools.
This training teaches judgment, systems, and decision-making - the skills leaders actually rely on.

Everything here is built from real operational experience, not theory, templates, or productivity hype.

Shelby provided structure, clarity, and forward thinking in a complex operational space. She developed internal procedures that met the needs of the investors and the board. She worked with me to establish foundational cross-departmental communication and operational processes as new teams were developed. The ability to think ahead of the needs of the organization and align the day-to-day operations with the long-term strategy was a significant contribution to the organization's growth.
